Engadget notes that 'Apple Mac OS' is listed as a possible pop-up selection when attempting to download the latest drivers for your Dell computer.
The Driver/Downloads page discrepancy, of course, has sparked a lot of speculation about a Mac OS X/Dell pairing. The additional website pick-list option, however, may have simply found its way onto Dell's support site for existing printer drivers which Dell does produce Mac drivers for.
Additional options however do appear under 'Mac OS', but all appear to be Windows executables with the exception of the Printer Drivers.

Dell's CEO has publicly stated that they would be 'happy to offer' Mac OS X for PCs if Apple were to allow it.
My daughter has this printer also, connected to her MAC. Dell printers are basically lexmark printers with the dell brand on them. Hope this helps anyone out there since i myself took hours of research till i finally was able to figure it out. While some people use them successfuly I have difficulties with them. It downloaded the series but didn’t work so i just went one class lower which was the series on my list and it started printing! In such cases, it is up to the vendor ie: Having a problem getting my mac book to interface with my Dell computer.

Have something to contribute to this discussion? No drivers can anyone HELP! But you can try one thing which is to download a windows environment simulator for mac and then try installing the windows driver in the simulated os to work.
Dell doesn’t support OSX for this printer so I was wondering how to aoo which other printers it may emulate that are supported by dell for OSX, or any other solutions for that matter.
Dell don’t support Mac though. My husband handled all the tech stuff but he passed away in Feb.

In Mac OS X Try the GIMP driver. Does anyone know where I can download the printer drivers for Mac OS Instructions will need to be in simple easy to follow language. Search for lexmark equivalent drivers for dell printers and you can pull up a list of the drivers to use for mac osx.
I’m not sure how I was able to get it previously; it once worked like a charm.
You can find the driver on apples support. Dell printers are basically lexmark printers with the dell brand on them. You may need to choose Generic as the printer type.
Now, greyscale using the above driver is the best I get. I went in a proper apple shop and asked if they could help!

As I said, I am not very computer literate, but can follow directions. However, in some cases it may only be able to regard it as a generic type of device and some functionality may be simplified or not available. It downloaded the series but didn’t work so i just went one class lower which was the series on my list and it started printing! Is there any other driver i can use for my Mac which supports Dell printers? Currently there are no drivers for the mac os for your dell photo all in one printer.
Open the Image Capture utility to perform scanning. Sorry for not clarifying, I am running this on Mac, I’ve managed to install every driver 92 can think of, including updated Gutenprint. But unfortunately and not surprisinglyDell don’t. Edited 6 Years Ago by HNmacuser.
